Ward off the captivity!

"Your wound is as deep as the sea. Who can heal you?
The visions of your prophets
were FALSE and WORTHLESS,
they did not EXPOSE YOUR SIN
TO WARD OFF YOUR CAPTIVITY.
The oracles they gave you
were FALSE AND MISLEADING."
Lamentations 2:13-14

EXPOSE----- to lay open, as to something undesirable or injurious; make visible or make known; reveal; bring to the light.

SIN--- any offense, violation, fault or error; wrong.....violate a religious or moral law; a condition of estrangement from God as a result of breaking His law.

WARD---  to turn aside; avert; repel; guard; watch; protect

CAPTIVITY--- The state of being captive; like a prisoner; one who is enslaved by a strong emotions or passion; under restraint or controlled.

May we bring to the light any wrong, error or fault we have done that we may be protected from becoming enslaved by strong emotions ....May we become "Slaves of righteousness" and "Prisoners of the Lord."  May we not be afraid to call sin what it is and therefore help protect ourselves and others from captivity.  May we have nothing to do with what is false, misleading or worthless.  If you are finding yourself in "prison" ask God to expose some possible sin in your life that you may be freed from captivity.  Blessings from Bombadil.
